1992 Renault Rapid / Express

My Girlfriend live on little unsecured city.
And I have little problem with my on-street parked cars by night
(like glass broken, antenna, mirrors, scratchs...)

I found the absolute weapon, adequate car, economic, simply daily
drive. I call this cars, "Jetable cars". You buy, run, and if it broken,
it stay here and sold immediatly for symbolic money like 1 $ as is !

Bought 120 € (average 120 $...)

An Renault "Rapid", german version of french Renault Express...

Unfortunatly, I forgot my "true" camera. But I have the "high quality"
phone camera. I have this phone from one year, but the name of picture
"image6.jpg", attest how many time I use this crap camera...

Without flash, but with crap camera, the result is "less worst". I can expext
this good result ;-)

This car as bought on "Police sales". This car was "forgotten" under a bridge
average 1 year by precedent, unknow owner. And the law here as : "If
a car is surrended more than one year on police département, it was sale, or
if not sale, it was destroy, given for free for students (mechanic school), or
fireman for training.

In facts, you can expect this : If not buy, its the end... Okay, it's a poor
light truck, but i'm Car Lover, and it's same effect for me to other people
found lost dog or cat and save it... :D And when I'm child, I dont know why,
but I want to have this car as fist car and made heavy mods on this... But now,
I made this one on US engines :-)

It's an gas engine, L4, 1397 cm3 (85 Ci ), monoport injection and catalityc
converter, for German market. This engine is coupled with 5 speed, manual
transaxle.

2 passenger, great luggage room. The base is "Renault Super 5"

Some superficial rust, poor paint (In picture, it's dust, from 1 or 2 year old).
Inside is dirty but in good shape.

Equipement is : speedo, shifter, wheel, brakes, throttle, 2 seats, hand brake, ashtray,
and... nothing other stuffs ! Minimalist stuff. And be sure, another stuffs was add on
future.

Just two optionnal features enjoy me : the "Giraphon" and towing package.

I just re-paint, a training for others cars, put 4 new M+S tires, brake equipement, all flush
(oil, transaxle, brake, coolant), filters, belts, battery, and checking. And run ! Loudspeakers is always
présent, I probably mount an old K7 player with AM/FM radio, for convenience.
